SHORT STORIES

As a writer, crafting short stories has always been a passion project for me. I find there is something so satisfying in capturing and sharing snippets of ordinary and extraordinary lives. Between working on full-length novels, short stories provide me with the opportunity to experiment with different genres, styles, and characters. Each story is its own world, and I am excited to bring readers along for the ride.

CHASING SHADOWS

On a journey to find herself, Megan ended up chasing a phantom, pulled into a strange world that was far from real, yet somehow more magical. Among the cobblestone streets of a quaint Irish pub, she met Stephan, a musician whose melodies echoed even long after dawn. They only spent four hours together each night, but for Megan, it was perfect. So, each night, Megan would rest her weary eyes, embarking on a night-time quest to find Stephan in their shared dreamscape, her phantom friend who existed somewhere between slumber and sunrise.

RAINY DAYS ON TUESDAYS

Emma finds refuge in the cozy ambiance of Tribeca Trickle, a New York City café, escaping the dreary, constant rain that seems to mirror her inner chaos. Here, amidst the rhythmic patter of raindrops, she dives into her artistic forays.

Here, Emma forms a fascinating online friendship with Gary, a writer whose words resonate like a gentle drizzle. Their connection, nurtured through late-night exchanges and creative collaborations, feels tangible yet remains trapped within the confines of the digital world. Despite their growing closeness, Gary's reluctance to meet casts a shadow of uncertainty, leaving Emma longing for something more substantial.

As the rain continues to fall, marking the passage of time and seasons, she grapples with the bittersweet reality of their virtual relationship and her search for closure.

With his carefree attitude, smoky allure, and candid demeanor that borders on hurtful, Jack embodies everything Mandy shouldn't want –– but does.
